So currently I am sitting outside of the Springfield Art Museum waiting to see The Vagina Monologues, a controversial play that aims to empower women. However, before winding up here I've heard a lot of distain about it being on campus, asking why it's needed, and what's the point. I've heard that about all of the "Naked Truth Week" activities. So I think it would be interesting to know why people feel this way. Bam idea one.
Idea nĂºmero dos: minorities and the election. I think it might be interesting to do a piece on the election from minority points of view, because minorities are commonly targeted in speeches, proposed legislation, and national discussion. I would try to make it local by focusing on the Witt community.
Idea trois: sexual assault on campus, the fliers, and who's fault is it. I think this is important because we received the news stories but nobody covered what campus/ students are saying. Another important thing that I think really needs to be addressed is why we didn't know about it when it happened and the fact that the victim is never to blame, which is commonly forgotten.
That's all I've got, let me know what you think!
Edit: I'm going to cover number one.
